Transformation Labs

Transformation Labs logo

This is a new type of scientific congress aimed at bridging the science-policy-practice nexus for achieving sustainable development. The overall goal of the Transformation Labs is to identify research that can help sustainable socio-ecological transformations within planetary boundaries.

The Labs are supported by a grant from the Novo Nordic Foundation and supported by the Future Earth network. The Transformation Labs process consists of five online events: a kick-off event, three sessions following the Delphi method, and a closing event. All events will take place twice to accommodate all time zones.

Kick off

FEBRUARY 17TH 2023, 09.00-15.00 CET

The Labs begin with a kick-off day setting the stage for the entire process. We have invited Professor Joyeeta Gupta from the University of Amsterdam to speak of her ongoing work with the Earth Commission, and to give her perspectives on future transformation.

After the keynotes, we will separate in groups according to our interests and fields of expertise. In these groups, our first initial discussions will ensure everyone work in the same direction during the three Delphi sessions.
