What will Denmark look like bathed in the stronger sun and heat of our changing climate? How will these changes affect our health and well-being? It's time to shift the focus from mitigation to adaptation, to prepare for what lies ahead.

In this critical edition of the STIMULUS workshop, we invite you to join a vital conversation on climate adaptation in Denmark. This event, crafted in collaboration between UCPH Medical Students for Climate and the Sustainability Science Centre, aims to uncover the implications of climate change for our natural environment and public health.

  • Mark Payne: As the mastermind behind the Danish National Climate Atlas, Mark Payne will elucidate the predicted transformations in Denmark's landscapes as Earth warms. He will offer data-driven scenarios for the future, outlining the crucial role of the Atlas in guiding climate adaptation strategies across the country.

  • Professor Flemming Konradsen: A leading voice in the field of global health, Professor Konradsen will delve into the health ramifications of our warming planet. His expertise will shed light on how rising temperatures may usher in new health challenges for the Danish population.
