About the presenters
Beatriz Martinez Romera
Beatriz is Associate Professor at the Center for International Law and Governance (CILG) with a special expertise in the field of Arctic environmental and climate change governance. She will introduce CLIMA as well as the overall theme of governance in the Arctic.
Stella Ebbersmeyer
Stella is a PhD Fellow at the Centre for International Law and Governance (CILG) at the University of Copenhagen. She will be presenting her work on non-state actors and international law-making. She will introduce the case of Arctic shipping and regulation of black carbon emissions, as an example of how governance matters for sustainable development in the Arctic region.
Katherine Richardson
Katherine is the leader of Sustainability Science Centre, and Professor in biological oceanography at the Globe Institute, University of Copenhagen. For years, Katherine has been an expert on the SDGs and a core developer of the Planetary Boundaries Framework. During this workshop she will introduce the concept of sustainability with a special focus on governance as one of many levers for sustainable change.
